Mr Quimby was a public hygiene manager; his job was keeping all the public areas clean and tidy. He enjoyed his job and he knew that as it had taken over 100 interviews before he found a job that he was lucky with his disability to be in full-time employment.
He suffered from Tourette’s syndrome and he had been involved in the decision to wear a badge informing the public of his condition. One of the managers complained that the badge should not be worn and he was told he would not be allowed to wear it any longer as it was not compliant with health and safety regulations.
Shortly after the removal of the badge our client began to receive complaints about his behaviour. I would like to claim compensation as I have been the victim of wrongful dismissal. Mr Quimby as given written warnings and eventually sacked because of his condition causing him to shout obscenities at the public. Michael Lewin won an out of court settlement, on behalf of our client. We took the case on a no win no fee basis.
